Background

Over the course of my career as a solicitor, I gained extensive experience in construction law and commercial litigation. My work has been primarily concentrated in various areas of Construction Law, coupled with Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution.


Recent highlights of my work experience as a legal practitioner

Advising and acting for a major electrical services provider in relation to disputes under a number construction subcontracts, where the combined issues of the parties in each case were quantified in excess of $15M;

Assisting in obtaining urgent interlocutory relief in the Supreme Court by way of injunctions and other orders, and assisting in successfully opposing applications for interlocutory relief brought by other parties;

Advising and acting for subcontractors in NSW and QLD to recover payments pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (and equivalent QLD legislation);

Assisting in the conduct of complex litigation for construction companies including the preparation of evidence and necessary advices and relating to projects valued at in excess of $10m;

Acting for a large commercial client in respect of a WorkCover prosecution under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000
